Gender Equality in OD and Organizations - Then & Now: A Dialogue with Barbara Bunker & Anne Litwin

This is the tenth video produced in the ‘Just in Case…’ mini-series sponsored by Quality and Equality. In this video, Barbara Bunker and Anne Litwin, both incredible OD pioneers who supported the growth and expansion of the field and paved the way for women equality through their work, speak to us about gender equality issues through their history of OD and Organizations.

Biography 

Barbara Benedict Bunker (Ph.D. Columbia University) is a social psychologist and Professor of Psychology Emerita at the University at Buffalo (SUNY).

Her activities in the area of planned organizational change span 50 years. She has consulted to major business, governmental, voluntary, and educational organizations. She has taught in Organizational Development programs at American, Pepperdine, Columbia and Harvard Universities. In 2005 the Organization Development Networks recognized her with the Lifetime Achievement Award.

Her books include Conflict, Cooperation, and Justice (1995) with Jeffery Rubin.  Large Group Interventions (1997) and The Handbook of Large Group Methods (2006) with Billie Alban and Innovations in Inclusion: (2009) with Janice Eddy.

Dr. Anne Litwin has been a consultant to organizations, an executive coach, a researcher and author for more than 30 years in the USA and internationally.  Anne has a passion for unleashing the leadership potential of women in organizations and helping organizations groom their talented women as future leaders. She feels that one key to increasing the retention of talented women is to strengthen the ability of both female and male managers to create supportive environments where both female and male staff can flourish.
